Shrockworks Rock Sliders
Rock sliders are one of the best investments you can make for you Xterra if you're going to be going offroad. The install it pretty simple, remove the stock ones put on the new ones.
There are a few changes for the Shrockworks, the stock step rails only mount in two places, the Shrocks connect in three places. The third mount is where a small weight on the frame is. Just remove the weight and the sliders will mount in the holes left by the weight.
