Add-A-Leaves
The 3" Calmini lift uses Leaf Spring Add-A-Leafs for 1.5 inches of lift and Heavy Duty Shackles for the other 1.5 inches to lift the rear, the installation is pretty easy, getting the U-bolts off was toughest since the threads under the nuts had been damaged, luckily the AALs come with new ones. Once the leaf pack is separated from the axle you can use C-clamps to hold the pack together while you take out the center pin. You may need to replace it with a new bolt, the pin going through the center of my spring pack was really tweaked. Then arrange the leafs according to size in descending order, the clamps holding the stock leafs together can be opened with a pry bar and closed with a big C-clamp. When I put in my Add-A-Leafs I left the overload spring in, which I regretted doing later. It got caught on a few rocks making it harder for me offroad; just recently I took the spring pack back off and removed the overload leaf, it still rides great and it doesn't hold me up on the trail.
