Fuel Injection Performance Kit

The instructions provided by K&N are very complete and shouldn't bring any unwanted surprises.  But as I was installing the kit I went above and beyond and took out the stock resonance boxes.  There are three resonance boxes to remove, one is the tube running up the side of the radiator, one is under the ABS system and the last is in the fender.  To get the fender one you have to remove the plastic shield between the tire and intake then unscrew it from the engine compartment.  The one under the ABS was the hardest to get out, some of the screws were really hard to get to, after that it rotated up and out without too much problem.

The FIPK will make the intake hissing sound as it sucks in air it's perfectly normal but some people have had really loud hissing sounds.  It was found that it was caused by the hoses going into the intake tube behind the filter.  Look at the intake tubes on the plastic intake tube supplied by K&N and if they look too small use a drill to widen them a little , but don't make them too wide that they collapse when you put the hoses back on.
