Optima Yellow Top Battery
After being in storage my stock battery was toast but that was ok because it wasn't much of a battery anyway. I replaced it with an Optima Yellow top battery.
It fit into place really well and didn't come into contact with the hood but the positive battery clamp was designed from the factory to bend down the back of the battery. The Optima's positive terminal is further in from the edge than stock so I couldn't get the terminal to go on. To get it to work I just used a couple pliers to bend the metal a little till the positive terminal fit on snugly.
I also put on a couple of felt Anti-Corrosion battery washer to keep the terminals clean, so far so good.
