Antenna Fold-over

The drawback to a high antenna is that it's not very feasible in the city, my Xterra is already too tall for some of the underground parking garages downtown, an antenna would keep me from covered parking for the rest of the Xterra's existence.  There are a few options though, one is that you could just unscrew the antenna when you're not using it.  But I don't know when I may want to use the antenna, it brings in weather band radio so I can use it on the highway, I don't want to have to pull over, get the antenna out of the back, and screw it in just to hear the local weather.  There are also quick disconnects but the same problems remain.  Finally I found a product called the EZ-Over mount.  Basically its a hinged mount that let's the antenna fold down but stay connected, the range will be alot shorter with the antenna down but the weather band radio doesn't need much.  Now if I ever need the full range of the radio for transmitting or receiving I just have to get out, pull off the Velcro strap, put the K40 antenna up then I'm ready to rock.
